Over the last couple of months multiple residents in our Lincoln Square neighborhood have been the victims of hate crimes and vandalism to their property. Just this weekend not one but two Lincoln Square couples had their “Black Lives Matter” and “Hate Has No Home Here” signs vandalized overnight. “Anti-white cuck” was additionally painted on the sidewalk in front of one of the homes.
In response to these hateful acts Indivisible Lincoln Square, Rep. Greg Harris, Rep. Ann Williams, Ald. Pat O’Connor and other local community leaders will be holding a community rally against hate in a show of solidarity that hate has no home in our communities. Join us to show support for our neighbors and against indolence.
“All Are Welcome Here: Lincoln Square Unity Rally”
Sponsored by Indivisible Lincoln Square
Sunday October 1, 2017
Waters Elementary Soccer Field, 4500 N Campbell
11:00am – 12:30pm.
After the rally is complete we will head out into to the community and distribute “Hate Has No Home Here” signs throughout the neighborhood. Get free signs for your yard or window and help deliver them to your neighbors. This is your time to come out to support your neighbors and stand strong against bigotry, racism, sexism, anti-immigrant and anti-LGBTQ that we see spreading across our country. For more information on the event please visit All Are Welcome Here: Lincoln Square Unity Rally or call my office at (773) 348-3434.
