Northcenter Eggstravaganza 2015

 

Springtime brings April showers and May flowers but for the kids it brings the Easter Bunny to Northcenter for their annual Eggstravaganza!  This year’s event will take place on April 4, 2015 from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm at Northcenter Town Square & businesses on and around Lincoln Avenue.  This event invites families for a morning of delightful activities. The day begins with our egg hunt at local Northcenter businesses and continues with a party in Town Square, featuring a visit from the Easter Bunny, refreshments and the ever-popular Spring Ahead Hat Contest! AFC Community forum: Speak up and speak out on Governor Rauner’s budget

 

Do you have concerns, questions or just want to know more about Governor Rauner’s proposed budget?  On April 8 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the Center on Halsted, 3656 N. Halsted St. Chicago, hear from community leaders about how Governor Rauner’s proposed budget will impact prevention, care, treatment, housing and other services for the HIV community. Attendees will have the opportunity to share their personal and professional perspectives on these programs and learn how to advocate for their protection.

Community Gang Education And Awareness Course

 

Are you interested in getting involved with keeping your community safe?  Would you like to learn more about gang activity in your community and what you can do to help combat it?  Cook County State’s Attorney Anita Alvarez’s Community Justice Center in conjunction with the Chicago Police Department is hosting a four-week course is designed to inform you about gang issues in the 19th and 20th police districts.  The course will be provided on Thursday evenings on April 23 & 30 and May 7 & 14, 2015 from 6:30 – 8:00 pm.  Attendance is REQUIRED at each class!
