Welcome!
I want to thank you for the opportunity to serve as your Representative in the Illinois General Assembly. As a longtime resident, I consider it a very high honor to work to improve our neighborhood.
The 13th District encompasses large parts of Uptown, Ravenswood, Lincoln Square, North Center,
Andersonville and Bowmanville. Our population is incredibly diverse in every measure. Our citizens
and businesses have a very wide range of interests and needs that I will work with you to address
in the District and in Springfield:

We will be addressing these issues in the General Assembly against a backdrop of a State Budget in a dire financial situation, with a looming structural deficit. This will be a tough time and I will have to make many difficult decisions as I represent you.
I will work hand-in-hand with our block clubs, community organizations, chambers of commerce and business groups, hospitals, schools, senior organizations and our Aldermen to prioritize our needs and set policy. Please contact me and let me know your opinions on these issues, and invite me to your organizational meetings to hear your point of view.
Working together, we can make the best decisions for our community, improve our neighborhoods and keep the 13th District one of the most desirable places in Illinois to live, do business and raise families.
